Vein Treatment Options

  • Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation
Ablation is the latest innovation to treat venous insufficiency. A radiofrequency catheter is placed by ultrasound into the affected vein and the vein is closed with no discomfort.

  • Ambulatory Phlebectomy
Lidocaine is used to numb the area around large bulging varicose veins. The bulging veins are removed through micro-incisions leaving smooth skin with no scarring in the area of previous bulging veins.

  • Sclerotherapy
Medication is injected either visually or by ultrasound guidance to close non-bulging reticular and spider veins.

  • Compression Stockings
Can be used for conservative treatment or in conjunction with vein treatment to help aid healing and to improve outcomes of vein treatments.
